| I was wondering shy the $10,000 NLHE event is less prestigious than the $40,000 NLHE event. My gut tells me that its because the first place prize will be alot more but shouldn't the higher entry fee bring in a tougher field? Your thoughts? |

the wsop main event $10,000 is arguebly the most prestigious and important poker tournament in the world |

| Sorry I had it backwards. I know that the ten k is more prestigious but I am not sure why. I mean why doesn't the 40k buy in carry more weight? |

| for starters, the 40k has been around for a month... the main event has been around for 40 years. prestige takes time to build momentum... |
