Does anyone know of any work at home jobs that are not scams? I recently lost my job (where I made my own schedule) and between my wifes job and not having a babysitter I was wondering if there is anything that I can do from home either online or otherwise. I do not mind hard work and long hours, so please do not think I amjust lazy and looking for a get rich quick scheme.

I've tried poker, but still being a student to the game I figure it'll be a good 10 more years before I can mak a living with that. Still love the game though and willing to lose more money whenever I can afford to keep depositting.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

T.S.

I'm a videogame programmer from home, its an excellent job for a student. The pay can be amazing, $1500 for a nights work, or you can work for a month without getting paid, its a rather fun job. You'll have to read a few books on the subject, and be technologically apt.

And never expect to make a living with poker, let it happen naturally.

My ex-wife runs a girls' clothes "shop" on Ebay, completely from home. It started out as a hobby, buying bargains that she knew she could sell on at a good profit (she models all the clothes herself, and our daughter takes the pictures). Over time, she's built up contacts who sell to her privately in bulk, she's designed her own branded packaging etc and she has a solid base of regular customers.

She's doing something she enjoys, in her own time, and three years on she's now turning in some amazing P&L figures. It's a bit contrived to say things like "anything's possible", but a little determination goes a long way.

Good luck.

(cold shiver down spine)

Oh well, at least we're disproving the theory that I'm your monkey account. You'd never be dumb enough to draw attention to that if I was.

Seriously, poker. If you have talent for it and make enough of an effort you could probably make a living at it within a year even if you started with a small roll. While it's not a good immediate solution if you don't have the skills/roll yet, it's definitely something to keep in mind for a future much closer than 10 years from now if you want to keep working from home.

I'm an IBO through Amway Global... in reality this is not a work at home business. You have to be outgoing and willing to sit down with a few people a week and talk to them about the business struction. You won't make a ton of money being an IBO, but it can supplement whatever income you do have....... and you'll sell some pretty nice products

Heh, it certainly isn't. It's a combination of a pyramid scheme and a toned-down, business-minded cult.
