| Ok, I know this has probably been answered but I'm a U.S player and need all the regulars opinion on whether I need to cash out before this deadline or not. Are we still gonna be able to play after this deadline crap is over? |

Posted in the other thread but will do so here.
The deadline is for implementation of UIGEA. It doesn't affect your ability to play on Full Tilt, as long as Full Tilt continues to allow play by US players. It affects only the transfer of money.
If you have a LARGE balance on account at Full Tilt, I would attempt to withdraw some of it. If you have a balance that you are comfortable with leaving here to play with, it might be a good idea to do that, as the ability to deposit after 1Dec is in question as well.
As for me, I've taken out what I wanted and I'm leaving the balance here to play with. |

will US players not be able to play on Full Tilt?

Disclaimer: I'm european.
I suggest you leave America and go live in a free country like Iraq where they can play online poker. |

Where have you been for the past three years?
Search the forum, or search 2+2, or google UIGEA |

If they can figure out a way to tax our income from the net we will be OK.. They seem to do that the best.. The best advice you have gotten has to be, take the bulk of your money out and leave so much in that you want to play with..

Yes, it only affects the transfer of money. And FTP has made it clear - NO WITHDRAWALS for US PLAYERS.
I only want my original stake back (actually $40 short of it). Nope, not going to happen.
They wouldn't let me cash out when I was ahead, and now they won't cash out because it is under $100.
Of course, they told me I could send them MORE money (which will be an INSTANT transfer from my checking account.
But before they can refund it, they need to carefully validate my identity!!
Why kind of billshirt is that??
It's the FTP way. |
