| my sixteen year old daughter wanted to go shopping with some friends yesterday. now that she has a license to drive theres a new outing every weekend. since i'm the "push over dad" she asks me for some money. i give her fifty dollars and she stands there looking at me like i'm crazy. when she left i started thinking about when i was a teenager. my best friend and i would get together on a friday night. we'd have maybe twenty bucks between us. but that was enough money to get a bag of weed, two cups at that weekends kegger and enough gas to get there and back. if i had fifty bucks in my pocket i would've felt wealthy indeed. i've had a pretty good life so far and my daughter has advantages i would have never dreamed of. but i sure miss those simpler times. by the way, i didn't give her any more money. she huffed a little and stormed off. but by the time she returned all was forgiven and she had a good time with her friends. |

Yup, I've got one of those teenager things. I'm sending mine back to the shop tho, I think it's broken.
It just gives of this high pitch whining noise and breaks down when you ask it to do anything.
He has got himself a good weekend job tho, that quite impressed me.
Now I can mooch all HIS money. sweet. |

| Tell her to get a job. My parents made me when I turned 16, and it was one of the best things I ever did. |

agree.
she will get a better understanding of bankrollmanagement ( ) when she learns to earn her own money. 50 bucks will be a lot to her all of a sudden |

Punch her in the face and tell her to get a job.
If I had $50 in my pocket NOW I would feel wealthy. |
