Wouldn't this be a great idea?

Pokerstas or Fulltilt allowing any player to pay for another player to play a tournament with structured % given to player who pays and for player who plays. Kind of like "Make a deal" format Fulltilt offers. There should be a "Stake a player" option. It would ask you to type in name of player to stake, what tournament to enter for that player, and what % return each will get. If both players agrees, then the pokersites will automatically payout the profits to both players as agreed if there is any profits for that tournament.

Can anyone tell me if anything is wrong with my suggestion? Both poker sites are sophisticaed enough to be able to do this.

This way, in the future, nobody who is kind enough to stake a begger will ever get screwed over in the event that the person who got staked happens to win a big tournament and decides to change his mind of not paying back the person who staked him in the first place.

Check out the "Rail Request" section of the forum.
Not sponsored or "officially" approved by FTP but "BAPs" run almost full time.

would be cool for private stakes and nifty for tourneys when the money gets distributed automatically.
can't see that happening though

This is a great idea, it could even have a failsafe in place that if you stake somebody and they're not on x mins before the tourney starts it unregs and returns the money.

+1 op, I hope this gets some consideration in the future.

Might be nice to have it "built in".

But no "makeup", otherwise Monster Threads on 2+2 and P5 will start every time someone gets too deep in MU, or the backer needs cash for RL and tries to "sell" the MU to someone the horse doesn't approve of, etc.

This is probably the best idea I've ever seen in this section.

wow that is a very good idea. It would make life easier for people that just want to give out a stake. I don't see it happening though, but a very good idea nonetheless

i can't ever see that happening because it will be abused if proper rules aren't put it place imo.

nonetheless it's a damn good idea if implemented correctly
