Do these 6 minute levels/50 blinds seem very messed up to you?

I personally hate it. I would play a lot more if they either had 10 minute levels or even had a 10/20 level to start it out.

There's not enough time to choose your spots or get good hands. And half the time when you're heads up or final 3, no one has more than 20 blinds.
I'm a winning player in sng's so I guess I play them fairly correct, but it really sucks how if you lose one large hand after a few levels, youre basically in shove/fold mode.

I really wish they'd work it out. Seems like the standard sng should be considered turbo.

I guess there's always pokerstars.

6 minute levels are plenty imo. The 10 minute blind STTs on Stars take foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I just don't think there is enough demand for 10 min lvls ... The regular sit n goes already take longer to fill up compared to tubos or super turbos ...

Having played on a few sites , I think full tilt has one of the best structures if not the best.

I think it has to do with the fact that SNGs are meant to have minimal time commitment. 10 minute blinds would almost double the average time of a SNG, which defeats the purpose of minimal time commitment. I personally think 6 minutes is perfect, since there is still enough of an early game to play semi-deep, which I like.

I guess if you play a tighter game, I see where the inability to wait for good hands is annoying. It is weird to be shoving stuff that I would only be playing in a cash game as a late position steal attempt. That's why I prefer cash games, because I'm not forced to play trash for my stack.

I played turbo 6 max SNGs exclusively for quite a while... probably close to a year. Recently I've switched to 9 player regular SNG's. I've had great success with them and find that there's a ton of play. Maybe play some turbos for a while and when you come back you won't feel so rushed.

I haven't played on Stars in a while, but from what I remember, they have 10 minute intervals, but the value of the blinds goes up more steeply...something like 10-20, 15-30, 25-50, 50-100. Whereas on FTP, the intervals are shorter, but the values don't go up as steeply: 15-30, 20-40, 25-50, 30-60, 40-80, etc. I prefer that actually. But in all, I'm sure the difference isn't as pronounced as you think...after about 40 minutes on either site, if you haven't picked up many chips from what you started with, you might need to gamble.
