|
|
(I apologize if this is the wrong section)
I just saw that they added the security token (Tyvm FTP!!!) and I want to get one. Problem is that I only have 2.4k full tilt points right now (and I spent my iron man medals too), is there any other way of purchasing it? Can I email support and have them deduct cash to pay for it? Can I buy 5k points off someone else and do it that way? It would be awesome to find out the answer to this, security of my account is very important to me and this is like a must have. Thanks guys |

I think I remember reading that fulltilt is going to offer a cash option for purchase eventually but it is not available yet.
The only way to "buy" points from someone is to transfer money to someone and then they would buy the item and have it shipped to you. I personally wouldn't have any trust in doing it this way on something as important as a security token. |

| I doubt if someone else could link it to your account. It wouldn't be to secure then. |

How important is this thing if my password is pretty unique and I'm the only one who uses my computer?
I want to be secure but I can totally see myself forgeting it at home all the time when I am traveling for work and want to play in the hotel. |

How important is your FT bankroll to you? I only have a few houndred $ on most poker sites, and honestly it's not that big of a deal should my account ever be hacked; but should you have very large sums of money I highly suggest you to get an RSA token.
While it's mostly not possible to guess or brute-force safe passwords, keyloggers are always an issue and can be a giant PITA regarding the security of your account. So you have to evaluate the chance of catching one of those pesky bastards, if your machine is used for more than online poker alone.
So the most important questions are: Is your FT balance really important to you? Is your machine used for alot of downloading/browsing ? If the answer to the first or to both questions is a big YES, then get an RSA token. |

It's less about FT's security, and more about the security on your end. |
