It is with great sadness that I inform you of the untimely passing of the person we know as abominable.

He passed away this morning from a heart attack.

I received a call on my cell phone this morning from his nephew, who was calling everyone on abominable's cell phone. I placed a call to his office and confirmed the news with his secretary.

As many of you know, he was the living ideal of a reliable veteran trader.

His trading reputation was completely unblemished. Many of his partners didn't know what we knew; if abominable was involved in a trade, the other person was going to get a fair trade, period. I'm sure most of you could have recommended him without question, doubt or hesitation. I'm equally sure that any of us would put him very high on the short list of people with whom you could entrust any amount of our own funds.

He was a tireless anti-scam activist. His keen eye and unquenchable desire to do the right thing left an array of bewildered and frustrated scammers in his rear view mirror.

Outside of our little niche, he was much more.

I had the good fortune of working with him behind the scenes. During that time, it was abundantly obvious that besides his interest in online poker and helping people with trades, he was first and foremost a devoted and loving husband. He was also an accomplished professional. He possessed a sharp wit and fully developed sense of humor, and had a deep and wide appreciation of the nature of life and a mature sense of it which enabled him to balance its challenges with its many enjoyable and rewarding pursuits.

Not just here, but in a wider circle than we can imagine, his passing creates a void that will not easily be filled.

Go in peace, my friend.

"No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee." - John Donne

Good question.

I'll contact his secretary on Monday and see if they're aware of his accounts. No doubt there will be a significant sum.

If anyone cares to do me a favor, you can review his posts here and on 2+2, and make a complete list of his accounts. I'll forward that list to his secretary and help if needed with the recovery of those funds.

Besides the ususal FT, PS and epass accounts, I think he may have been involved with AP/UB, Cake, and maybe even another site or two.

I'll inquire with his secretary on Monday. If he had a favored charity, any anonymous donation would be a very kind and welcome gesture.

I remember when I first started here, he gave me some advice and words of encouragement behind the scenes.

There are a number of reliable traders. However abominable gave an extra effort to ensure that people didn't get scammed even when he was not involved n the trade.

He will greatly be missed.

I think this is the first e-funeral I've attended. I am not quite sure how to respond.

I hope this is a reminder to everyone how fragile life is, and to cherish every moment you are privileged to have on this world.

I did not know abominable much myself, what was their name? Where were they from? How is their family?
