This is strange because I've traded with abominable on here and on 2+2 and always assumed they were the same person and was 99% sure that they were. abominable on 2+2 pm'd me for a trade at 9:30 pm on Thursday and is logged in right now on 2+2. Now I don't doubt Clamper so it appears they are two separate people. Rest in peace abominable. You were a gentleman in a poker world full of scammers.

Rob, they are not two separate ppl. My guess is that someone in his family logged in to his account.

Clamper...

Maybe we could host a tournament like a $2 + $5 or something and have the proceeds go to a charity that his family chooses? Just an idea.

I didn't know abominable other than seeing his name and posts on this forum but I know he was an asset around here. My prayers are with his family.

I love this idea of a tourney with proceeds going to charity, etc.

what a sad day. my prayers go out to his family and friends. i remember once i was looking to buy 130. worth of points. had a seller but was looking for a mm. well abominable offered to help. this was before i got to know who certain people were, so i asked him for references. well i did the research on my own and found out how much a respected member he was.
i sent him a pm to appologize for "needing a reference. he pm me back and ill post it for 2 reasons 1) to show the kind of man he was and 2) now there is one less "good guy" on the forum, maybe the new people wanting trades can follow.

abominable:
I am happy to have offered, and I thank you for your most gracious note. Please don't feel bad for 'checking someone out'.....Clamper and I (and others: we include YOU in this job) encourage these newer people to check EVERYBODY out.

Hey Dude! Did you actually CHECK OUT the other person? No? Then maybe you deserve to be scammed.

Of course, nobody deserves to be scammed by the pond scum that floats around here trying to take advantage of people. If you, and I, and others, keep reminding these people to follow PROPER procedures, and follow them ourselves, for everybody to see, then, well, more people will have safe trades.

GL at the tables, sir.

dont know why i kept that but i though id share it.

i agree a tourney would be nice and id like for a flower arrangement or wreath from the forum would be nice also

rip abominable you will be missed

I've emailed the tournaments department and this will be setup. I'll post details once it's created.
