Hello to my friends!

I was thinking how FT can use some new suggestions on improving the tournys and I thought I throw this at you guys to get some input! TEAM POKER! Thats right we can have teams play against each other..The league would consist of 64 teams with 12 players each! Each player on each team would pay a $100 entry fee to join up..plus whatever FT charges to run this...The total prize pool is $76,800...The whole season can be run in one day! Each player will play in a sit and go against other team players in a 6 table format...There would be 6 different teams at each table! If you finish first,second or third you gain points for your team!Third would get 1 point,second 3 points and first 5 points! After the first session all the points would be added to see which team has the highest point total...The top 32 teams would then move on.....The second session would run the same .etc until we get to the final 2 teams! The final two teams would then use heads up! The team with the most victories would win the entire prize pool! Now if they did tie on wins.. 6 each then there would be a sudden death...The top player from each team would go against each other..The top player can be the player on each team with the most earn points! The winning team players would each earn $6400! Not bad for a $100 plus investment! Sorry forgot the teams would be form when you sign up..The first 12 players form the first team..etc...Anyway that is my suggestion to makes this more exciting and profitable! Hell you can even run this using different options like the teams can be form from different countries like the world cup! The season can be longer using 12 days worth of playing to add more prize money! Well guys tell me what you think...Add any suggestions or improvements ! Maybe the moderators can pass this on to FT and get this going.....Have a great day!

Pokerroom did this and it met with some success, although I think some of the failures may have been due to mismanagement by the staff.

In another forum I'm part of, we have a team concept working, although it's not at the scale you're talking about. Right now there are 5-6 teams of 4 players each. We play private $5+0.50 NLHE games one night a week and each team splits their winnings. There is no "team" buy-in per se. We did that one month but ran into some issues with it.

If things get to be more popular and consistent, we could bump up the buy-in or add a team buy-in. Right now, we basically play for bragging rights in the forum. If you're interested, visit Midnight Poker Forum.

I think it would better if you had the option to form teams with your friends.

that sounds cool , but i dont think full tilt will be doing that any time soon.. we been begging for step tournaments for quite a while.

Yes it would be great if we can join a team with our friends but when there will need to be at
least 768 players it might take a while to get the teams form! But maybe if Ft set it up with teams being from different countries like players from U.S.A,France,United Kingdom,Russia,Germany,etc
then that might get you a better chance to join in with your friends since I guess most of your friends live in the same country! Another possible method is a poker league using 6 players only and gives you an option to pick a team logo with signing up with whom you like or an option to let FT assign you a team! That would be fun and exciting if you can join a team of Friends and take on the world!

You know I forgot about those step tournys! I think I play them at party poker and I have to say I enjoy them very much! YOu can sign up for a $6 buy in and if you are able to win a few steps you can make a couple of thousand dollars! I agree with you and maybe FT will take another look at this and get this going! I would sign up for sure!
