I have been trying to improve my play by watching tournaments and deciphering winning hands. This one shocked and confused me as to why the hand that eventually won would call in the first place. A little explanation would be great. Thank you.

| To many players, the pre-flop raise = AK, always, every time. So, they call looking to connect with a flop and when they do, they're willing to get it in against someone "bluffing" with a missed Big Slick, even if they have bottom pair and a pitiful kicker. |
