I normally just fold hands like that PF unless I'm in LP and with a guy like that behind you I think raising it is pretty bad. SCs really don't play well out of position and that's where you'll end up most of the time. On the turn you're OOP on a paired board, meaning that your implied odds suck. Since your immediate odds suck as well, it's a really standard fold.

sabakka, i'm curious, how come it seems in most of the HH's you post, you make bets of around 1/4 to 1/2 of the pot, even though someone tells you to bet bigger almost every time?

I managed to miss that, but yeah, bet more on the flop. This flop is really dry so I probably bet like $.5

I don't mind raised suited connectors from the hijack at somewhat weak passive tables at 50NL/100NL games, especially if there is not a lot of 3 betting preflop. But at loose 10NL tables, I think that you are much better off limping or folding.

No offense, but I think you played it pretty poorly on all streets. Fold preflop since you're in EP and going to be out of position the whole hand, if you're going to bet the flop bet atleast $0.50 or else just check, the $0.20 bet looks incredibly weak and doesn't really accomplish much. As played though after the min-raise you definitely have to call though. Easy fold on the turn, especially with a pot-sized bet on a paired board with only one card to come, you're OOP, and you're not getting pot odds at all (or even implied odds really for that matter). You have to also keep in mind that you'll only be comfortable with six out of the eight outs on the river since if it's a heart you can't really be too confident with a flush/boat out there.

+1. To be honest, this should answer the question for you 99% of the time, unless you're setting up a bluff. In this particular case, every step of the way has your opponent representing an ace, and it's extremely unlikely he's backing off this hand.

Only call if you hate money.
