How had she been playing? Tight/Loose? Passive/Aggressive?

When playing suited connectors you want to make a straight or flush. If you make 2 pair, then there is a possibility that someone else is working on that straight, as in this case. She's calling you down, so I would not have bet the size of the pot on the river. A smaller bet or a check, might have meant a smaller raise from her, then even if you call you're not losing as much.

That Min-Raise on the river tells me one thing, and that is to fold.

Looking at the hand I think you played it fine, you bet every street and just got unlucky IMO. What was this player like? Stats? I would probably Re-Raise Preflop, but that's just me. Aggressive HU player.

Flop and and turn are both pretty bad vs. most players. check/raise or check/call the flop to let her c-bet and bet bigger on the turn to get value from what is almost always the best hand. On the river it's really player dependent. You're getting great odds, but some people just don't bluffraise there or raise for value with worse. PF you can also go either way depending on the player, but my default is definitely to call.

You played it OK (not great, but OK) on every street, until the river. You bet 2/3 on the flop, 1/2 on the turn, then overbet the river. What hand are you trying to represent with this overbet? There's nothing you can beat that would call, and no better hands will fold.

If you think you have the best hand, check/call would accomplish the same thing as betting, and it would cost you a lot less when you're beat. Or if you feel the need to bet, repeat your turn bet of $3.50 to extract a little more from weak hands that might call. But there's really nothing gained by the overbet.

he was a loose player

after i went over the history...
i realized..the river bet was bad..
i was trying to make him think it was a bluff...
...

if he tried to catch my bluf...he would only call
...not reraise..
.....
so..i realized it was a bad call
...
also...check was probably a better choice...
...
thanks fellows...
