Zophar

This guys standard line was raise from any position preflop, pot every street, playing at about 60+VP$P. I had been pretty card dead for awhile and picked this up in position. Although it's not a monster, it has great straight potential and vs his range is probably neutral EV at worst.

Given his play before, figured it was a good line.

From the sound of it, excellent patience too. Most people would have taken an opportunity to stack off against this guy in a much worse situation. Way to go for the scoop.

It was really an interesting table. The villian's style was actually pretty succesful, in the hands of a good player, it'd be tough to beat.

I'd dropped about 1/2 buyin trying to find a spot to break him up to this hand. When that deep, I didn't want to tussle too light, I wanted to have one way locked up before I got into the big bet area. I know I made a couple of laydowns with marginal hands that I was probably ahead, but I figured my best approach with him was nut peddle.

Tonight I'll post a couple more hands from the table. There were a couple of players that were stacking off so light one way it was ridiculous. The hand I ended up felting the villian on is pretty funny.

I ended just up over 3 buyins, which I was pretty happy with because it's my biggest single table win since moving up to $50PLO8 full time.

This hand was really horribly played on my part. The call on the flop reraise was pointless because I was calling any turn to begin with. I think I somehow worried too much about the over straight and higher FD. His range is rarely that good here.
