| Wow, this is quite a bummer. I don't use the transactions section as much as I used to, but it was always good to know it was there to facilitate safe trades when I needed them. I just want to thank clamper13 for all his great work, and hope he will continue to be a valuable part of the forum. |

this.
I myself wasn't really a trader but I think we all cannot thank clamper enough for his effort, time and dedication to provide all of us a safe place to trade.
I also hope, that you will stay clamper!!!
..btw. I am a little afraid that the lounge will now turn into another trade section. |

I realize there were problems, but there has to be a better answer than shutting it down.
As discussed earlier in this thread, there should be minimums set on people to have access to player transactions, possibly similar to that of BAPs as previously mentioned. |

| I just logged into the forum and noticed that there wasn't a player transaction thread anymore. I didn't trade alot but I did some trades and yes I am guilty of being one of the dummies that got in a hurry once or twice out of the approximately 20-25 trades I did and got scammed. I just took it as a leson learned and cursed myself out for not following the rules that are on the forum for a reason. Over some time I learned that those rules are there to protect everyone and if you followed them you had a pretty good chance of completing a succesful trade. I am going to miss this section because player transactions was the reason I started looking at the other sections in the forum. It is hard for me to get money by depositing on certain sites so it is just easier to trade it. I looked at 2+2 and I didnt like the set-up. I felt safe here reading the stuff on 2+2 I don't feel safe at all. Thats all I had just wanted to add my 2 cents. RIP "PLAYER TRANSACTIONS" I hope you are able to rise from the dead someday........................ Also Thanks alot Clamper you were a huge help |

im living in Turkey and have no option to make a withdrawal, my only chance is to make a transaction and withdraw from ps.. i think you must let people make thier own decisions and you dont have to take responsibility..

I think this is a big step backwards for the forums.. If you dont want to deal with it, just dont moderate it, but let people make their own decision.

Agree 100%. The player transaction section was the ONLY reason that I came to this forum. Should just keep it open and leave it unmoderated if it's such a hassle. Like others have said, the scammers are easily avoided with some common sense and a minute of research. |

It seems to me that by having a specific section for trading online poker funds, it puts Full Tilt in a difficult spot. Even that the section is described as not intervening with disputes, just having the section may be looked at as Full Tilt condoning the trades.
IMO, FT just wanted to rid themselves of the hassle of basically promoting a place in their forum to trade funds. Actually, I don't blame them if this is/was the case. |

| I'd read a post on 2+2 from a player whose account was locked after he made a withdrawal request because they were investigating lots of money moves. In an email, they'd said something about not using the site as a bank, to which he replied there's a subforum on the site for trades. Perhaps incidents like this caused things to snowball until Rick had no choice in the matter. |

Man, that sucks. I was hopin if I ever win a decent amount of freeroll money I was gonna move it to PS (after playing a few SNG's and MTT's of course) because its cheaper to play there. Now I need to start building a report at 2+2. Well, I can't get mad at ya Rick. You had to do whats best for the company and the vulnerable people out there and I respect that.

I've traded quite a bit here and on 2+2. On more than one occasion, I have said that the FTP transactions forum was the safest place to trade.
Clamper13 worked tirelessly to help out all the legit traders. Also a group of forum regulars filled in nicely whenever they were needed.
I understand the decision but can't help feeling that the scamming will be worse and just moved to less supervised sites. |
I didn't trade all that much here, but when I did. I only traded with respected & reliable members of the forum.
After Abominables' untimely passing, My only trades were with Nimbus.
I did not have worry about being cheated.
The people scammed didn't (for the most part) read or follow the guidelines set forth by Clamper.
Bring it back with more stringent trading requirements. |
