Patrik, I heard you started playing online well before you were 18, is this true? I also heard when you first started playing you played PLO. I heard you would bet pot every street in every hand you were involved with, is this true? I heard if people came over the top you folded, but people didn't ever come over the top. How much did you deposit and how long did it take to multiply the roll by 10x or 100x?

Ask Patrick,

who do you turn to when you need advice or assurance when dealing with the massive swings that he must deal with playing the highest level of poker.. There seems to be alot of needling between the highest stake players and not alot of help out there for most of these guys on a downswing.. some of the US players have poker buddies like durrrr and the OMGWEARENERDS crew ,and they seem to stick together a bit more then the euro guys who seem more independent .. does he feel its tougher for him Gus and Zigmund being european , can he turn to guys like Gus and Ziggy for honnest advice or is he left to fight solo against this american onsloght.

two questions:

When you first started playing, did you read books and/or forums? Where did you find the best advice and strategy that took you from beginner level to the point where you could become a professional poker player?

When you are facing a decision, how much of your thoughts are the mathematics and how much is gut feeling and reads? What I mean is how precisely do you calculate pot odds, implied odds, and equity in your major table decisions and does that take precedence over an impression, reads, and your game plan at the time?

I read a thread on 2+2 recently debating the possibility of creating a "perfect" HU bot for NLHE. Chess has apparently been scientifically solved now, but that's a game of complete information and any Holdem bot would need to constantly adjust ranges.
This got me thinking about how a winning high-stakes HU player disguises and adjusts his own range. I don't play much HU but can you give some pointers as to how and when to mix up your play to keep your opponents guessing, as clearly any HU player who doesn't do this will be easily exploitable.

Patrik,
Are you as sexy in person as you seem to be on TV?
Have you ever been mistaken for Brad Pitt?
Would you consider having dinner with me?

You previously mentioned that durrrr had been winning a lot of the big pots, while a few more have gone your way, do you agree with the perception that he just runs better in key spots than most other players?
