Even though I've taken some hellacious beats in the last few days, like betting top pair Q kicker and getting called by Q-5. no straight or flush draws, just runner runner 5 as outs, and having them come. Same thing with running 6's about an hour later in the same game. Or in a tourney having everyone calling with under pairs or gut shots and having them hit a back door flush or over card, some of the people I see on this site are just messed up.
What gives you the right to call the way someone plays a donkey or a fish or what the hell ever.
If you want to play "real poker" because I'm sure most of you are pros, play large MTT and make it to the final table. Hopefully you're playing in a good tournament where you get a lot of chips to start with so the blinds at the final table aren't forcing an all in every hand. By that time most the weaker players are out and the good players took advantage of them you can see that generally by the size of the chip stacks.
Or you could just play NL ring games at higher stakes. If you're good enough to decide if someone is a donkey or whatever by the way they play one hand you should be able to win at whatever stakes you play. I mean that's an amazing ability to read people. Maybe you could go down to the Bellagio in Vegas and play the cash games against Chan and Ivey, maybe even make what you think are great plays just to have Hellmuth or Matusow rip your game to pieces.
I'm not saying I'm better then anyone I'm just frustrated with the elitists. Ok...done venting.
EDIT: I have noticed that most of the players on here that seem to have a deeper understanding of the more advanced strategies don't throw those terms around, They just respond with a breakdown of the hand and usually a very insightful analysis. That's much appreciated. |
