Not sure if you are looking for this kind of input, but here goes, personally the ratio of 26$ to gain 215$ is totally unappealing for mathematical reasons, you need more 4$ satellites and I think you'd freak out to see how many players would enter a 12$+1$ satellite for a 215$ ticket.
About the flatter payouts, am siding with more 215$ tickets and less "ho no I just wasted 3 hours" refund of entry fee tickets. I don't enter MTT satellites to waste my time, if I win I win, if not then it's done with.
Late in the evening and at night there is no small MTT satellites either, I would play them for sure if their was, surely am not alone in this case.
From being here a short while, the whole place sort of rings like a place for big timers which is unappealing to the small players.
Just my 2 cents. |

| I dont mind the idea that only 10% get seats. Those are winnable, even if it is only 3 seats paid out. Give them time and they will grow. What i dont like is the 4 dollar satallites to a 100 dollar tournament. Being top 1/25th is very hard to do, even for a very skilled player, because in every 25 people, i think i have a legitimate shot to be one of the best (so does everyone) but out of 25, its very likely that there is someone of equal skill or better. Then it comes down to pure odds and luck between the very skilled players. What im saying is once you boil down a 200 person touranament to the top 20, blinds are very high, and most of the players have a fair amount of skill. If you remove the 5 guys that are very VERY short stacked, youve still gotta get past half the field to win a seat, and thats AFTER 3 hours worth of work. I dont think that makes enough sense, specially because its very easy to bust on a bad beat somewhere in the first 3 hours. I dunno, just a perspective. Most cash tournaments pay top 10%, why not these. |

Kind of a dumb idea, but what about a $36 table with 6 players, winner get in.
you could also run 4.40 sng with the winner getting a $36 token.....
stupid huh? |
