I don't have a hand history, but this is far and away the worst beat of my life. The thing is, the hand that beat me is 94 offsuit which managed to call 2.5 more BBs preflop after everyone else folded to my MP raise. Their call came from the BB. My raise was 3.5 BBs
I had AQ, and the flop landed AQ4, rainbow. Grrreat! They bet out about a third of the pot size, so i raised them the minimum here (perhaps my biggest mistake in the hand, however i kept them in drawing as close to dead as it gets which is a good thing)
The turn was a nine, and they quickly bet again. This was just a little over half the pot size if I recall correctly. I decided they had made a hand (at this point i really put him on ace nine, which could pay me off if I act correctly) so i raised 3 times his bet size. And they called it down as quickly as they bet.
River was a nine. They bet again, this time a small bet not even a quarter of the pot, so i just called because i figured they were expecting another raise out of me and they'd reraise it with a big hand.
The odds of two running nines at this point were 0.3% or 3/1000. Worst beat of my life, against the powerhouse that we know as 94 offsuit. Damn donks.
This came at a $1/$2 NL game during a nice stretch of cards for me. |

| If it makes you feel better, a guy actually went running QQ on me. I have 99 flop J9J turn and river Q. He called my raise preflop and bet on turn with Q6o. |

I had 5-5 and somebody had A-T on a board of 2-5-T. We get it all in and the board goes 2 and then T for him to have the bigger house.
Sickest beat I can really remember. |

Yea, I've had this sort of thing happen to me quite a few times too, but considering how many hands I've played, they're pretty rare.
Just a while back I had K-Q at the final table of a 45-player SNG and raised 4xBB in the cutoff seat when the table folded to me. (The antes were giving people a good price to call a 3xBB raise, so the standard raise also goes up; besides I had a nice healthy stack and I really just wanted and expected to take the blinds and antes there, as there were a couple desperately shortstacked players but they weren't in this hand.)
The BB calls - I had him covered but he had enough chips that I didn't want to get into an all-in confrontation with him. The changed when the flop comes:
K-Q-rag; I bet about 1/2 the pot, he raises about 2.5 my bet. If I called that I'd be pretty committed to the pot, and with top 2 pair I was ready to risk him having a set; besides, there was a much bigger chance of him having TPTK than a set. And if he did have a set I don't know why he wouldn't reraise with K-K or Q-Q before the flop against my big stack; on the bubble with desperate shortstacks is not the time you really want to see a flop with those hands, especially with someone who has you covered.
But anyways, I pushed all-in and he called with K-J! I expected him to have A-K but whatever, this is even better for me than I thought!!
Turn: J
River: J
Boy was I shocked!! That decimated my big stack, but I wasn't out and ended up surviving to make the money.
Another longshot loss: I had Q-Q and wound up all-in against someone with 5-5. He flops a 5; I turn a Q, then he rivers the case 5!! Not that bad of a beat as when all the money went in the middle I had about an 80/20 edge, but the exact way that I lost irked me. |

OK here are just 3 of the bad ones
1) bubble of a 3k tourney I have AK against AQ flop comes down K96 raindbow... runnign Q's
2) 88 flop comes 835 with 2 hearts, guy wit poscke 5's makes running flush.
3)AKs against 86o calls big bet out of losition preflop. Flop Comes KJs8s and he bets and I reraise all in, he calls and wins the 1%....
Something like this happens prety much every month to me so getting my AA cracked all in preflop by Ax hardly counts as a bad beat any more. |
