I was thinking and I had an idea and I wanted to see what you all thought of it. Lets say I hold Ah-Ac-4s-6s. If the flop were Ad-3s-9s and I believe my opponent had the nut flush draw, should I bet less than I normally would to give my opponent proper odds to call 9 outs, when I know he only has 7?
Obviously, this only applies at higher levels, since in low limit people will call pot sized bets anyway. |

| Really, it'd be best to bet as much as you think you can get away with while still making it a mistake. If you think your opponent won't call a pot sized bet with just the flush draw, but you believe he will call like a 1/2 or 2/3 pot bet, then yes go for it. It's still a mistake and you're giving him incentive to make it. |

| Granted omaha is far from my best game, but usually, the edge you get from that is so small that you're happier to just win the hand there. From everything I've read about PLO, you usually just want to nut peddle with pot sized bets. You'll get called more often than not. |

| Hence the final part of his original post. In lower level games, it won't matter because he's very likely to get called on a pot bet with just a flush draw. In higher games, a person may not be calling a pot bet with just a flush draw going for them. If they're calling pot bets with draws, they will usually want to have more going for them with their hand (FD + top 2, or FD+ mid set, etc.) It's getting those people to come along for the ride that he's wondering about. |
