I truely couldn't tell where I was at in this hand. No real read on opp, pretty standard player, no big moves, no horrendous calls.

Seat 10: sushinigiri ($39.40 in chips)

jay-dub0 bets $2, Schnoogens bets $5, jay-dub0 calls $3.
TURN [board cards 3H,10H,AD,2C ]
jay-dub0 bets $6, Schnoogens calls $6.
RIVER [board cards 3H,10H,AD,2C,6H ]
jay-dub0 checks, Schnoogens bets $9.05 and is all-in, jay-dub0...?
Any thoughts and suggestion on the hand would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Tough to say, to be honest I'd say he probably made his flush, but the pot is pretty big at that point. That also could be his last ditch attempt to buy it from you.
My gut tells me he made his flush though. |

| I have to agree with joker on this one. His turn raise leads me to believe that he maybe has A 10, 10 10 , 3 3, or maybe A J if he seems loose. His call on the turn makes me question all those hands, because if he had one of those would he want you drawing to a flush? Wouldn't he want to get all your money on the turn even if you didn't have the flush draw, so if a club did come you wouldn't be scared to put more money in. I don't know of any hand that you can beat except AJ and that's a longshot here. Throw it away. |

I agree that he probably made his flush, possibly just 2 pair. I would have said he had A10 but not sure he would have called on the turn with the flush draw out. FOLD. |

That's a bit impossible, since OP has the Ah. As for what he had, my first impression was that he had the flush. Another option is that he knew that he was beat and took advantage of the scare card on the river. |

based on his call pre-flop, in addition to the A-10, 10 10 and 3 3 mentioned earlier, I think he could probably have Kh Qh, Kh Jh or Qh Jh.
Means he is calling a pre-flop raise with an ok hand with position.
His post flop raise would be a bit confusing, if that is his hand, but it definately fits his turn call, with Flush and inside str8 draw.
I would agree, with jspring, you can't beat many hands that he may have, time to fold your tent.
So what happened?????
I am really curious as to what his Post-Flop raise ment.... |

OK, so here's how my thinking went during the hand. I had shown a pretty solid image so far (and I should have mentioned this in the OP), showing down good hands, etc. I did also have a tendency to make continuation bets especially OOP if were the sort to pay attention to these things.
The small raise on the flop is what confused me most. My gut screamed out ACE TEN, ACE TEN! RUN! But my fingers said call. On the turn seeing as I still had no real info I decided to lead again and this time he just calls... very strange. He's obiously not too worried about protecting his hand. I checked the river because (a) I knew if he bet it would be all of it, and (b) I wanted as much time to figure his hand out. He pushed, and I actually saw the timer run out on me at the same instant I decided I had no idea what he had and that I need to pay it off. Somehow my call still registered and he turns over A8 for one pair, no draw, no kicker.
I still don't know that this was the right decision, but having so little knowledge of the player and just not being able to figure out his hand I believe a call was in order. Thanks! |
