| Um, your both played this hand awful. Pushing dry aces on the turn in omaha, eww. You going crazy because you had 2 pair. In omaha 2 pair is like bottom pair in holdem. It just doesn't win very often. You should be looking for the nuts, or at least have a strong draw to them. I woudn't really have played this hand to begin with. But I definitely wouldn't have gotten so excited when I made 2 pair. If your pushing two pair in omaha your in for a rough ride. And your call on the river is horrendous, you honestly cant beat any reasonable hand. Sorry to "bash" you but this was very poorly played. |

| I figured I played it pretty bad. They had been playing alot of hands and raising alot. I know I shouldn't have called the first raise. It just got me into alot of trouble. It's not that I was really excited about my 2 pair, it was that I didn't think they were beat. I'll admit it, the call on the river was freaking stupid. |

| I think your call before the flop was fine, but your call after the flop was not. Although he shouldn't have been betting his hand on the flop, you CERTAINLY shouldn't have been calling. All you had was top pair, and you had no redraw possibilities. Get rid of the hand on the flop. |

Its ok to see flops in omaha with almost anything, I believe Ted Forrest did for awhile, unless it was a trip hand like JJJ4, because the flop is when your hand really becomes defined. You should definitely have dumped it on the flop. The river call just looked like desperation. You shoudl think it out and determine if you can really beat anything. The other played the hand bad too, but its better to be betting and raising with weak holdings then calling. |

| I know where Blue Devil is coming from. This fhaugen guy frequently raises and re-raises regardless of what he/she has just to be aggressive and win pots through brute force. Have seen this person win big and lose big. |

I do not think this is true. I think you should have requirements on your hands as playing 4 unsuited cards definetly hurts instead of being double-suited.
This becomes especially true in Omaha Hi/Lo, but still is true here at least for me. |

two pair blows in omaha... some straight/flush draw is always out there, and people tend to have it in 9 handed games...
BTW, IF YOU HAVE THE NUT FLUSH, AND YOUVE BEEN CALLING BIG BETS THE WHOLE WAY, THEN THE BOARD PAIRS ON THE RIVER, FOLD!!! LOL, JUST A PIECE OF ADVICE |

| Calling with this hand pre flop is not bad, but you must be aware of what type of flop you are looking for. Did you call with this hand looking to make top pair? Probably not. With the 9 10 Q K you are looking for some kind of straight draw, or flush draw. Since the flop didn't come with those requirements, you should let the LAP have the small pot and move on. He appears to be overplaying his hands, so wait for a better spot when your hand is stronger and then punish him. |

all due respect to those above, i don't think you played this hand terribly until the turn.
i like your call preflop, and i can even defend the call on the flop, depending on the type of player and your read.
Now your play gets pretty bad. On the turn if you think your hand is good, you have to push it, don't just min raise him, reallly put him to the test. i would have raised the pot there.. once you make the mistake on turn, you have to be willing to dump your hand on river. Hes semi bluffing in actuality, but there are many hands that call your min raise on turn that improved on river.
just my 2 cents. |
