The higher king would start.

From high to low it goes, spade, heart, diamond, club.

Easy way to remember, both for razz and stud, is that low to high goes in alphabetical order:

Clubs
Diamonds
Hearts
Spades

Low brings it in in stud, High brings it in in razz.

Whoever is closest to the left, clockwise, of the button starts out. Suit doesn't matter.

This is wrong. It is indeed by suit, as stated above.

He didn't notice this was in the Razz section... How you expect him to notice that?

I don't think they guy made any comments that would lead us to believe he didn't know this was the razz section. The guy made a mistake about the rules as I am sure we all have at one time. Do we need to make him feel like crap for it?

Well, considering the right answer was in front of him, then repeated, and he announced his answer like the two of us were both wrong and stupid, I don't feel sorry for him in the slightest.

If he said something more like "Wait, I thought action always started with the player closest to the button's left?" then I wouldn't beat him up for it. But if someone asked "what's 2+2", two people answer "four" and he comes in and says "no, it's five!" he's going to get teased for it. The way of the world.
