see title...(its nice when i remember to keep the HH's)

I am very suprised you had both of the players beat in the first hand. I think you did play that hand very poorly, and i would not have played it the same way. First, in my overall poker stragey, i think calling is a bad move if you are not drawing, as i like to be the aggressor in the hand. Calling him down to the river with just your pair of kings was pretty ballsy as any two pair would have you beat, i put your opponent on aces up, but you never know with such low limits. I am very caustious with big pocket pairs, i always like to have a draw and to be the one betting so that i have some fold equity. As you did win the pot, i cannot be too harsh on you and if i was i apoligze. Very rarely will a big pocket pair survive until the river at a showdown unless you are up a against a busted draw or a smaller big pocket pair.

no you were definitely not too harsh and you're criticisms are noted. on the first hand though, he led out on 4th after the A hit but checked on 5th (sign of weakness) and I led out from there on and was the aggressor. he was check calling all my bets and if he did have a weaker two pair, was hoping that he would have folded it.

You really should have been aggressive with that pair of Ks from the beginning. Raise 3rd, bet/raise 4th ... try to take down that pot as soon as possible before any draws get a chance to hit. Make any drawing hands pay to play. That's the only way to protect your premium pairs. Had you raised 3rd, that guy wouldn't have led out on 4th. Had you raised 3rd and bet/raised 4th, you probably could have taken it down at least by 5th or 6th street -- which is really what you want to do with a naked big pair.

Second hand, nothing you could have/should have done. With those low draws, you don't want to mix it up with anybody until you hit.
