Six sense??!!!
I seen pros talk about this.
I was watching a movie the other day. “Swordfish” ( I know, I know old movie.) but what the guy said kind of hit me. Went the guy ask him “ how did you crack it? It was impossible with the time you had.” the other guy replied, “I don’t know I just kind of saw the password, I cant really explain it.”
That’s being happening to me for a while now. Way before I saw that movie. I can almost see what my opponent is holding. All I need to do is just crunch the numbers. Go through every possible hand my opponent may have. And pank!! Is as if I can see what my opponent is holding. The suit, the number, everything is as if their cards where being shown to me like I see mines.
Their moves, their patter, their bets, instincts, what they say, everything is like one big string of information. It can be in the first hand , last hand or middle it don’t matter. I can pretty much see their hands just by concentrating, crunching the number and that’s it! People have shown me their card and I have being right about 8 to 9 times at of 10.
I was thinking is this a talent poker players have? Cause I have made great! Lay down cause of this. When I follow it that is.
What do you guys think? |

Wow nice talent, I don't know what it means you could be psychic.
Sometimes I wish I could have that talent especially when it comes to playing a hand. Ex: hole cards 2,8 flop is(a,a,3) Somone goes all in and you fold. Turn(4) River(5)
That happened to me twice today |

| I wouldn't call it a 6th sense, but there are quite a few times that I knew whats going to fall and it falls. When I got my first Royal Flush, I knew I was going to get it, and most of the time when I go All-in, I know if I'm going to win or lose the 2nd I go right before the next card falls.. |

| Sorry to burst your bubble, Haley Joel Osment, but watching the cards come out after you fold doesn't tell you anything about what would have happened if you had stayed in the pot, because your mouse movements and the timing of your actions would have contributed to the random number generator and created a different board. |

Hey guys. Nice topic you've got here. I think that instinct and gutfeeling is something good players have, but its the greatplayers that are able to trust and folow these guts and instinct. But following blindly can also be disasterous. I think you have to be able to make clear if your calculation is a genuin one or is it misleaded by or opponent. Cuz advanced players would have no troubles disguising their hand by giving out misleading informations. I can relate to the feeling of knowing what gonna hit the board but I think its probably most coincidencely. You really would have to be psychic to foresee the board On the other hand, we have all had experienced something happening that we know we have dreamed of before, how can anybody explain that. Maybe poker is the way to develop our sixth sense |

| It's one thing to have a "6th sense" about what your opponent has - that can be a mix of many tells and subtle signals that your conscious mind can't pick up but your subconcious does. Hence, you are picking up something that's actually there. However, a "sixth sense" telling you to play a bad hand that would have hit hard means nothing at all. Noticing (even live) that you would have flopped quads is simply selective memory - not a true sixth sense. Everybody occasionally feels like their bad hand will hit, but you only remember when it actually does. You don't notice all the times when it would have been nothing but 8 high. Moreover, it's easy to say AFTERWARDS that you "had a feeling" about it. If you really want to keep track of this to test it, decide BEFORE the flop if your hand will hit, write it down, and then mark if it does or doesn't. Keep accurate track of both when it does and when it doesn't. Don't decide, after it misses, that you didn't have a feeling after all. |

| I have won a lot of prop bets guessing the river card. Does that count for a sixth sense? |
