Ok this is the 2nd hand of a MTT. I am dealt 66 in BB, with three limpers. The flop is 6c,9c,10s I lead out and bet, get raised and reraised. In this position would you come over the top or call? I didnt think anyone had a higher set because at the low limit people tend to push hard preflop with middle PPs.
I ended up calling, and the 3s comes on the turn. I lead out with a bet, get called by one player, then get reraised for half my stack by another. I think the smooth caller may have a flush draw, but the raiser may have A10 or K10, something along those lines. So i am faced whether to fold, call, or all in.
I end up pushing all in to maybe push out a flush draw and think my set is good at the moment. I get called by both players. The smooth caller ended up having 78, the nuts, and the other guy had K10 and was drawing dead. I didnt fill up and i was out. So what could i have done to avoid this early exit? |

| Before reading more than half the post I said "uh oh, 78". I think the call on the flop was good as you should be cautious when someone raised and reraised, Yikes! Leading on the turn is a nice move to find out where you're at (well, depending what you bet; posting bet and pot sizes would be helpful), although checking is also a decent option. Once you get raised again I strongly consider folding. You went with your read, it didn't work out. |
