So I am currently reading small stakes holdem, and am building up my bankroll to start hitting the casino (probably 3/6 and 5/10 games). I am not new to holdem, but have recently decided to focus a little more on limit holdem. (well, and horse and sng's online because I am addicted!)
My question is, do you think the play limit tables would help me tweak my game while i build a bankroll. It will be about one more month till i have a solid enough roll to hit the tables ( unless those sng's pan out.)
These games have about 80% of players seeing the flop, so loose is an understatement. Or should I just put a little together to start playing the .25/.50 tables online? I just want to minimize lose and mazimixe experience while I tweak.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Play money table will only help you in the sense of what hands to play. You can work on odds too, but remember at limit, especially play money limit, people are calling and raising with almost anything. dont' be surprised to get beat by runner runner and garbage like that. As far as reading opponents you won't get much practice, but it can teach you discipline. Dont use the results though to guage your improvements as you will ahve a large variance.

IMO play money is not worth the time spent in terms of how much valuable learning experience you'll get out of it. If you're already playing micro limit tables I suggest you just stick to that. If you're looking at hitting 3/6 or 5/10 games, play money tables won't do much for you.

uh... don't go to play money to learn for a B&M because they are both loose. The only thing that is similar is that you have a lot of people seeing the flop. You will probably damage your game if you play even a little play money--the most I would do is sit down at play money fixed limit to understand how the button orbits the table, posting blinds, and acting in turn. That should only take a few rounds, but don't try to sit and play money and think it will mimic a B&M.

Just play the small limit games. 25 and 50 cent poker is better than play money even if just by a little bit. If you are already playing for money online, you might as well play hold em for money too. I used play money tables to learn razz and omaha hi/lo, but only for a little while. I suggest using them only if you are a complete novice at a game.

Thanks for the input, I guess it doesn't make sense to play free with such small limit games. I was thinking I should minimize my losses, but I should be focused on maximizing my profits... besides, these free tables are horrible!

Hello People,
This is a real story about online casino site www.teenpattiparty.com, don’t play here, they don’t have any policy, their employees and BOTS are playing on tables. Im 100% sure now, will give you hand history, if you win Money they wont give you anything. Dont deposit anything from your Credit Card. Everywhere big cheating is going on. This is a Costarica based company. Check their Street, Address, Registration Number etc, u wont find any thing, only FAX and Phone No. I asked just US 190$ which is my winning amount. I spent hundreds of hours playing but they blocked my money, they also blocked my ID, they gave dozens of excuses for not paying the amount. First they said u didn’t play 3000 games, later they agreed that I have played 6202 games, and next day again they said I didn’t play 3000 games. They are asking me to deposit money from Credit Card. Amazing, they said u r from USA within 5 mins they said, no u r from JAPAN, prove that u r from INDIA. Unnecessary information asked from me. Check it out. Customer care is very ignorant, they take 2 mins to type one line, very slow reply, Jitendra and Kokila talks like illiterates, if u ask about withdrawal, no wonder if they abuse u. Bhavesh is another big idiot who would keep cross questioning. VISITORS BE CAREFUL, DONT GET TRAPPED...
