So speaking of razz, and since I noticed Jaconda said she plays the 1/2...I just started playing razz on this site and is it just me, or are the razz players here HORRIBLE? I've only played about 5 hours total and it was at the 1/2 level and .5/1 level and I'm up nearly $200. This seems pretty good for that level of play and I'm just curious if the players are this bad all the time, or am I just hitting a good weekend of people who have no idea what they are doing? I'm really thinking about ditching the hold em for a while and just trying to build a big BR playing razz. Also the $5 and $10 HORSE SNG's seem to be incredibly easy also. No one knows how to play H/L games or Razz there. I've only been playing FTP for a week or so (I came in large part because of the large variety of games, Razz, HORSE) and I'm just curious from some of you who have been here a long time if these games are really as easy to beat as they seem right now.

In a word, yes. They are that easy to beat. Any fundamentally sound player can beat these games for a profit. Just keep betting and you will get called by players with K and Q door cards. In fact, the other day I got called to the river by a player showing K J 10 Q. I kept betting because I had a made 7 despite having a K J showing.

Let me put it this way: I never cease to be amazed at the quality of the RAZZ players here. And not in a good way (at least, not for them - works well for me...). 'Nuff said.

I'm pretty sure its like that on every site. I'm sure most of the new players on hold'em were pretty bad when they 1st started too, just these fish have big wallets

I think it's obvious that the guy with trip sevens clearly forgot what game he was playing. The guy with K high... I don't know about that one.

Well, here is my take on the hand...and I have played in this 30-60 game many times, and most of you reading this probably know me Hey guys.
First things first. Let's talk about the players in teh hand before you guys all think you are better than all the "Donkeys" in the hand. PearlJammed is a solid tourney player, if you don't know who he is look him up on pocket5s.com. He knows how to play razz whether you think so or not. 2nd. Yuvee... Yuvee in my opinion is probably the top razz player on the site. He knows how to mix in bluffs, and I don't just mean stealing on 3rd st with a low card up. He outplays his opponents. Which also allows him to get paid off more when he does have a solid hand. That being said, there was really only one donkey in that hand, and it wasn't the 777. It was the guy with the Q2. HE NEVER SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE BET OF $30 on 3rd st. Then, he pairs his 2 on 4th st and thinks he can bet his opponents off their hands because they paired. LOL pretty tough to do WITH A Q SHOWING! Anyways, the other players in the hand knew that he had nothing, and that the 2 was probably likely to pair him, as anytime someone calls a raise with a JQ or K up usually has A2, A3 or 23 down (though not always) Bottom line is... they werent buying it. Wow, just noticed, the Q2 didnt bet on 4th, Yuvee did and he called??? with A22Q? Don't do that, you will just lose your ass. But the 777 knew he had odds to call. No one had really made a strong hand yet. The best hand at this point was still unmade, so though he was behind, he had odds to draw for sure. He turned a T7 draw on 6th, which if he had hit, would have won him the pot.
So... before you think you can just jump up and play in the 30-60 game and start taking our money. Remember. There are players up here who KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE, and we will punish you when you miss, and you can't just sit and wait for the nuts, because we won't give you any action unless we have you beat, but we will steal pots from you when your hand isnt strong and neither is ours.
I won a pot with Quad 2s, and it was capped the whole way. And I knew I was the favorite the whole way as well. It went down like this
I had A322242 he had xx4448x now obviously the 2 on the end kills me, but since he was capping it with me the whole way, I have to call on the end and hope he makes a boat, because if he does, I win. Sure enough he ends up with 3544488 and has to play a 34458 and I take it down with A2234. Does that make me a donkey? No... In razz your opponents cards are every bit as important as your own. Dont just assume that because you have crap, that you should fold. If the crap in your hand is better than the crap in his, YOU STILL WIN.
