Hey all,

Good to be back at the FT boards...went to Tunica last weekend to play in the WSOP Circuit Event #4--NL tourney, $500 buy-in. A guy in a FT jersey at the table to my right went all-in, and all-out, on the first hand of the tourney (not indicative of the play of FT'ers in general, of course!).

I won my races early--JJ against AK (all the chips went in on a flop of 777), and then AK against JJ (all the chips went in pre-flop). Got some help from my old buddy AA in the middle stages--moved from a stack of $8,000 to about $23,000 over the course of about five hands by getting AA twice in that span, once against QQ.

We redrew for tables when we got down to 27 and I moved to a table where all 8 other players were total strangers...there were 2-3 huge stacks at the table and they were driving the action (as they should); meanwhile I folded, folded, folded, watching my stack dwindle and looking for any sort of playable hand. With 1K/2K blinds, I had to take a stand for my last 14K with A8s in the SB after a raise from an aggressive player with a big stack in the cutoff seat...he had JTs, flop came AT7 (good for me) but the board completed TJ (not so good for me) and I was out in 19th.

The tourney was a lot of fun, it was well-structured (50 minute levels, blinds started at 25/25 and $1,500 starting chips) and the folks at the Grand did a fine job hosting the event. There were also plenty of fish populating the 1/2 NL games at the Gold Strike and Horseshoe, which made for some profitable side game action! Very Happy
