Of course, no need to respond, just another story about stuff happens.
I know that bad beats happen and will continue to happen. If there is a 3% chance that you will lose then you will lose about the often.
But, when I get two 3%-4% loses back to back on the first two hands that I play in a live game then the poker goddess is really trying my patience.
Here is the first one.
Live 6/12 game and I post after the button. I pick up 99 and the BB raises. I call and four players see the flop.

Board: 9d 6h 4d
equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 91.4729 % 91.47% 00.00% { 9c9h }
Hand 2: 04.5404 % 04.54% 00.00% { 6d6s }
Hand 3: 03.9867 % 03.99% 00.00% { AcKd }
I do not know what the BB had. I was second to act. BB bet and I raised. The next player (66) raised and the (AK) player capped it.
The Turn was a diamond. BB checked and I bet and got two callers. The river was a diamond and I checked and folded to the bet from the AK hand. The 66 called with the 6d.
Okay - stuff happens.
The very next hand I get QQ. To make a long story short (too late). I flop a Q - Top set and the same player with the AK gets a one card (J) runner runner straight with AJo {T,8}

Hand 2: 03.2323 % 03.23% 00.00% { AcJh }
That put me on tilt and I played KQo badly. I changed games. I played $1/$2 with a $40 buyin and won $25 - then went home to fight another day. |
