If you all read my post about Quads, then you know that I had my share of luck on that hand, but guys and gals, I need to vent here, so please humor me. I simply cannot win a hand vs. a flush draw. I'm so frustrated right now I can't even explain. My girlfriend has been gone on vacation for a week, which has allowed me to play a ridiculous amount of poker!!! Which is great, but I think I am burned out. One of my New Year's resolutions was to take notes, so as of Jan 3, 2006 I have tracked certain stats by hand (yuck). I realize this isn't a big enough sample size, so please don't get upset at me, but that doesn't mean this still doesn't piss me off.

Anyways, I have been all in with a pair/2 pair/straight vs. a flush draw over the past month a total of 43 times (after the flop). Sometimes the odds for the flush have been a little better, like with me holding an overpair vs. top pair w/flush draw, and others have been me holding a set vs. strictly the flush draw. So while the odds may differ a tad from hand to hand, you can see I've been a nice favorite each time. How many have I won? 17 pots. Not even half? This is killing me.

This hand happened tonight, and is no big deal i guess, by itself, but it was just kind of the last straw that goes along with the above statistics.

After this player bet the flop, my read was correct that he did not have a K, and I put him on A10. We end up all in and he hits one of his 3 additional outs besides his flush draw. Again, this hand isn't crazy, or hitting some 2 outer on the river, but I'm venting here as all I want is to win more than half of these. Due in large part to hands like this, I'm up a whopping $12.40 the past two months. I know I'm whining like a baby, but damn, this hurts!!! I do want to stress that I'm not saying this is some horrendous beat, but whether its a hand like this, or one where I'm an even bigger favorite, it isn't holding up and in turn, I gotta imagine its effecting my play. I'm going to play a bit more this week fellow message boarders, then I am going to take a break from this game and try and come back refreshed. Maybe I'll read Barry Greenstein again to have a better mental aspect of these hands.

So I'll peek at the boards when I can all, but I won't be around as regularly, so good luck to all message boarders and may you all hit your draws Laughing Laughing .

Damn. I think my biggest losses come from All-in moments when I've flopped a flush or straight and lose to a full house. Happened alot more then I wanna think about Smile
