|
|
| Can someone clue me in to how to deal for a seven-card stud game? Are there burn cards before each street like in hold 'em? Who gets dealt first, not only to begin the hand, but before a new street is dealt? I want to introduce this and other mixed games into my weekly home game, but want to do so correctly. Thanks in advance. |

| It is dealt starting at the left of the dealer button. Low card brings in, no burn cards. The deal always continues in the same manner. The best up hand leads the betting for each street after 3rd. For example, on 4th, A high is the best hand, he leads out. On 5th, someone pairs their up cards, they act 1st, etc. |

| I couldn't have said it better myself. Don't forget that if you do not have enough cards left on 7th street to give to every player still in the hand, the next card on the pile becomes a community card that everyone shares, although this does not happen too often unless you are playing with more than 8 players |

| Actually, every casino I've played at does do burn cards. But the burn cards can be shuffled together with the few remaining cards in the deck for seventh street if they're needed. |

I wouldn't worry about the burn cards.
Casinos and card rooms follow these procedures in order to reduce chances of cheating.
Unless you're playing with a bunch of guys who stack decks, deal seconds and bottoms, etc., I wouldn't worry about it; I'd just find another bunch of guys to play with. |
