Full Tilt Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 8 Players

BB: $19.50
UTG: $5.45
UTG+1: $1.80
MP1: $25
MP2: $33.80
CO: $13
BTN: $16.65
Hero (SB): $14.75
Pre-Flop: Q Q dealt to Hero (SB)
4 folds, MP2 raises to $0.75, CO folds, BTN calls $0.75, Hero raises to $4.50, MP2 calls $3.75, BTN folds
Flop: ($9.75) A 8 3 (2 Players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks
Turn: ($9.75) 2 (2 Players)
Hero bets $6.25, MP2 folds
Results: $9.75 Pot ($0.45 Rake)
Hero mucked Q Q and LOST (-$4.50 NET) (won )
Am I supposed to c-bet the flop? Just feels like so many times people are gonna come over the top of me and I'm not going to have enough left to fold. I'm a little tired so my bet sizing is probably off as well. |

| Why are you making such a huge 3-bet pre? It becomes extra weird since you're shortstacked. As played I guess this is fine but I might just check again on the turn and if I don't I'd shove since you only have about a pot sized bet in your stack anyway. |

lol I don't really know. I think at the time what was going through my head was that I don't want to see a flop with two others, and if the CO called a smaller 3 bet, the button would be more enticed into calling with position. I guess maybe I entered the hand with the wrong attitude, which was that I wasn't ready to be throwing the hand away and therefore had to protect it too much.
Thanks for the advice.
I've had a losing day in general so I probably shouldn't have been playing in the first place when I didn't have my head together. |

Then it probably doesn't help that you buyin short and 3bet so much pf.
EDIT: Never mind, Riddim pretty much said the same thing already.
I donno what I'd do this is a gross spot and it's hard to say without reads imo. It just seems to me that shoving on either the flop or the turn seems spewy (maybe just shove the turn?), c/f seems really nitty, and c/c seems really stationy. I guess I might just c/f the flop or the turn, possibly shoving OTT when villain check's behind OTF. |

Renegades,
I dunno if I'd call c/c turn stationy. I think a shove there is going to be worse a lot. |

If you're going to c/c you might as well just c/r though right? I'm thinking maybe that as played it might be best to try to CRAI the turn, really not sure though. |

| Yeah, if his bet is less than a shove I'd c/r unless it's extremely tiny. I was thinking of c/c a shove, since effective stacks are around a PSB. |

| The other stuff has already been covered but $3.75-$4.00 is a more appropriate sized 3bet amount here. |
