This hand was from a couple days ago. I don't remember if I had any notes on this guy but I do remember that nothing was really relevant to this situation.

Looking at it now I think my flop raise was too small. I don't know why I raised so small.

2 folds, CO raises to $1.75, 1 fold, SB calls $1.50, Hero calls $1.25

Flop: ($5.25) 5Heart 3Club 7Spade (3 players)
SB bets $1.50, Hero raises to $4.50, 1 fold, SB calls $3.00

Turn: ($14.25) 6Diamond (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $9.00, SB calls $9.00

River: ($32.25) 3Diamond (2 players)
SB bets $14.50, Hero folds

I probably just check back the turn and if not I bet smaller. There aren't many worse hands you'll get paid off by there, so betting is more to get a free showdown when you miss.

I really wouldn't have thought of checking back the turn but it seems to make sense, Riddim.

But yeah I'm raising the flop more and betting the turn less (if at all of course).

I think vs. someone like this you can get away with $6 and maybe even $5. Overall I prefer just checking back though.
