| Lets just say that calling preflop is not nearly as bad as folding the flop. |

minimum raises can mean a lot of things. sometimes aces. i like taking a shot at that persons entire stack. 15 cents seems like a small price to pay. if i miss, or even hit top pair i can let go. i have that control so i dont think preflop is all that bad. i was 99% sure that calling was the right play. i was also 99% sure i had a hammerlock on this hand but i didnt. UTG+2 had 10 10 but MP1 had 43, the most improbable hand ever. i was just wondering if anyone would suspect MP1 of 44 or 43.
Lucky for me i got an ace on the turn and took down a huge pot. |

| The problem is that A3o just has very, very little potential to actually make a good hand. As for him having 43, that's certainly not too surprising but you still can't fold this. There are way too many crappy overpairs/draws they could be getting it in with, along with some worse threes. |

I think calling pf only has merit if:
A) You're going to hit the flop hard like this often.
B) You're deep enough and the players are bad enough that when you do hit a monster occasionally you're going to get paid off enough to make it worth it.
And I don't think either of those things is really all that true. |
