Bet the turn. You probably have the best hand and you are vulnerable to overcards and perhaps a draw.
I don't lilke your c/c on the river. If you are willing to call a pot sized bet on the river after the King falls, i'd just be more inclined to bet 2/3 of the pot and then fold to a raise. You may get called by a hand that beats you, but losing $1.25 is better than losing $2, and who knows you may even get called by a worse hand. |

I think this is fine. The river call is somewhat close I guess, since so many of the draws include a K or a better T, but I probably play it the same since we chop with so many tens now. If you're going to put more money in on the river I think checking and calling is definitely better than betting. The former lets him bluff with busted draws, while the latter just folds out worse and get called by better/chops.
There's merit to betting the turn as well and I'd probably do that more often than not, but I think it's fairly close. The 9 just hits a lot of the pair+draw hands we were ahead of and there aren't a ton of worse hands that will call a turn bet. Plus this flop just smashes a lot of limping ranges right in the face to begin with. |

Thanks for the input Mathman and Riddim. Below are the results.
Results: $5.85 Pot ($0.25 Rake)
Hero mucked 4 T (two pair, Tens and Nines) and LOST (-$2.75 NET)
CO showed Q J (a straight, King high) and LOST (-$2.75 NET)
It was something I didn't expect to see really.
(By the way, I don't know why it says he lost) |
