Ok I am having a little trouble and wanted to see how others play in these tournaments after they crack number 18 and ITM. I know I have a small sample on these only 18 played on pokerstars and finished ITM 7 times but here are the places finished. 12,11,12,16,10,12,9. 9th is where the money starts going up. 18-10th just give you double your buyin.
I play a good TAG game up until it gets to about 30-40ish players remaining. I feel this is what gets me in the money consistently. Usually in the 8-14k chip range. Once the bubble bursts I find it difficult to switch over to the push with any high card type play that always gets called against my better hand. In every game I listed I had the better hand when pushed and get by nuts cracked.
Last night I get delt KQ in late position and push to steal SB and BB and get called by K8. I don't have to tell you 8 hit turn to cripple me down to 1BB. Any thoughts on how to handle this part of the tournament besides playing coin-flip poker which sucks. |

That isn't coinflip poker - that's a 65-35, maybe 70-30 lead - exactly when you want to be all-in preflop.
Good play, bad luck, keep getting it in good like that and you'll start winning |

If you're in the money 7 of 18 in tourneys where 18 of 180 get paid, you're doing great and should keep plugging away at it - those better hands will hold up eventually.
I've had some sucess at the $12 level of these, but outside of a 1st and a 3rd about 2 months ago, I haven't had much luck with the $2s |
