1000 starting chips.
Blind structure:
25/50
50/100
100/200
BREAK
300/600
500/1000
BREAK
1000/2000
2000/4000
3000/6000
Usually finishes now.

I play alot of MTT tournament competitions online which the blind structure isn't as harsh as this, but this local tournament which runs year round is more aggressive thus needs a different type of play.

If you have a look at the Ammt of BB's per chips its quite small
25/50 - 20
50/100 - 10
100/200 - 5
BREAK
300/600 - 1.6
500/1000 - 1

After the first break the tournament has a chip up card where if you buy drinks at the bar you get your card stamped and you can exchange your 1 card for 1000 chips or two cards for a total of 3000 chips. Alot of players chip up here or buy back in if they were busted out.
So when break is finished it starts at 300/600 theres a lot more agression in the play as some players at that time have 4 - 6000 etc.

How do you feel is the best way too play this type of game?
Should you play conservative until blinds hit 100/200 ?
Thoughts, tips, suggestions?
Thanks

I think lottery tickets might be a better investment.

lol at playing conservative. You're gonna have to gamble. Heck, by the second level, people are gonna be short on chips. I don't know how it lasts as long as you said. How many players typically?

If you have built up a nice stack, I suppose the two drinks is a no-brainer. Not that the chips will help much, but you will need a drink after hopefully having your coinflips hold up! Very Happy The structure is crazy fast, but that jump at the first break is insane!

Hopefully you are good at push-botting. And run good on your flips, please. Very Happy

Usually 40 - 70 players on average, here in australia a lot of it is play well you go too the finals at crown casino or get entries into stuff like the aussie millions so its a way different approach then how i would play my standard ftp MTT's with 2000 players u know?

I was trying to work out today roughly what too play and when

25/50 - Premium only AA KK EE AK PKTS (Call for a set)
50/100 - At this time the blinds will hit me once or twice so if i havent played a hand till the end of these blinds i will be down 300 - 500 chips so i think this is where i really got too get out there maybe - KQ KJ QJ AQ AJ PKTS (Call then maybe raise) And any of the above
100/200 - At this rate i i am on 500 it is almost all in time too try and double up as most players will play any picture with crap so theres no way too put them on a big hand. - Here i think K10 E10 J10 POCK And any of the above.

Should you go go super agressive here leading into the break too get your chips up as most people will be buying back in with a max of 3g or chipping up 3g?

And lastly my last question is 200/400 and 300/600 - Tight or agressive, most people go all in around this time and either a) double up or b) bet or call then fold. Should you go back too playing top cards here instead of picture cards and play the big blind?

Thoughts?
