What, doesn't anybody stay up past midnight anymore? Hardly anybody is on. Anyway, played the card dead short stack for 300+ hands and got as low as 4 BBs on the first hand of the fourth hour before I went on a rush with such lemons as J9o and T8o. Wouldn't mind some conversation to help stay awake...

And all of a sudden I'm 6th of 7. I didn't do anything but 9 stacks combined down to 4.

And a massive chip leader for exactly two hands after my QQ > AQ and AK in an extremely sick 3-handed, 3-way all-in. Two hands later at the final table I lost 180K when QQ < KK.

1st of 6 though with 400K.

Wow. Hit the FT with 1/3rd of the chips in play and after two key hands I'm out in 6th. I feel pretty horrible about that as I was expecting to cash for a few grand. Here are the two hands:

You can make an argument for just calling on the end there but he hadn't limped any pairs before this hand so I'm not worried about the FH and that only leaves KJ, which I also see him raising with. If he did have a pocket pair, I felt confident it would be AA. At any rate, he had my number and I'm a bit shellshocked at the moment. That's a 7th place and a 6th place finish for me in the $11.5K and both times I thought I was in a good position to make a run on 1st. Gonna go sleep this off. It was just a warm-up for the 400K KO later today.

I know how you feel. When i first started playing poker, i would hate not getting deep into a tourney, and when i did i would always have that "well at least i won this much" mentality.

Now i'm just the opposite. If i bust i'm like oh well, but if i get deep and i have at least an average stack, i am disappointed with anything less than a final table. If i hit the final table i'm disappointed with anything less than top 3. And if i hit top 3, i better win LOL.

I made 7th in that tourn before and i was sitting very pretty thinking the same as you until my AK suited lost to KQo and i busted out. Is there a jinx on this tourn for forumers?
