Hi there,
as the topic says, I wanna know in what kind of situations it is OK to 3-Bet or even 4-Bet on 3rd or 4th street? Or is it never the right play?
I know it's a kinda similar question to the thread jack... already opened but I wanna discuss this more in general und for both streets.
1. 3-Betting on 3rd
For isolation it is OK.
What other scenarios might justify a 3-bet on 3rd? Let's say someone completes and there are already 2 callers, all with decent cards showing. Isolations is not an option so do I really reraise in a multiway pot even with the right cards out and me having three to a wheel?
If someone completes, one is calling and now another one is raising. With three to a wheel, do you really reraise in this spot? I mean, even with the right cards out or still available in the deck you have to asume that with a completer, a caller and a raiser that there are some of your outs gone, even if you cant be sure.
Probably you can give me some examples when it is right to 3-bet on third or even just reraise cause in my opinion Slansky is not covering this subject very good in his book.
2. 3-Betting on 4th
On 4th we got some more informations and let's assume we caught good and we either have 4 to a wheel or a smooth 7. Can you please give me some examples when it might be OK or right or a good play (whatever you wanna call it) to reraise/3- or 4-betting.
Hopefully you did understand what i wrote cause I'm from Germany and therefore I'm not a native speaker. |
