Playing in the 16k Guarantee, I was doing awful for a second time in a big MTT. Really thought I had a chance for bubble play, but then this joker comes along.

(Couldn't figure out the Hand Convertor, sorry!)

i dont think you played it wrong at all

his play pre-flop was definately donky, but the flop basically forced him to see the hand to the end

my only critique would be to shove on the flop. pretty much you commit yourself to hand by betting there, so you might as well give yourself the maximum fold equity, by shoving. theres already 1500 in the pot and you only have 1700 left. otherwise just a tough break.

Agreed. You're committing yourself, so you might as well shove the rest in. If you already decided that you aren't folding to a raise, then give yourself the best chance of winning by grabbing all of the fold equity you can.

You can't really critique on a bad beat, it implies you got all your chips in when you were good (you did).

Your preflop raise set you up to all in the flop, well played.

Shove pre. As played I'd bet smaller on the flop to hopefully induce something. 550 or so seems good.

It's really not even that bad a beat. When the money went in it was still almost a coinflip. You definately need to shove pre with your stack.

As for his preflop call- just dumb. You didn't have enough to warrant his calling, but once that flo came you couldn't get him to fold.

Not really much you can do there being that even if you do shove the flop there he most likely would have snap called with the flush draw. Tough beat don't let it get to you many more to come in those big events. Good luck in the mor to come.
