I won a $3.00 90 person knockout S & G today. I just started playing in early May and here are two things that made a huge difference for me:
1) Coming here and posting hands and reading a lot of earlier threads about how different poeple play hands.
2) I bought all three of Harrington's Books and I am about one third of the way through the second.
Those two things really opened my eyes to things happening at the table that I was never even looking at before. I am sure there is a lot more to learn but it feels great to see my game improve so quickly.
So thanks for the help you all provided as part of the forum |

they were the first tournaments i started doing good on as well, just find a method that works for you to get to the final table and play it as a normal sit and go =)
I found that i did best just grinding my first stack to like 15-20k and just sitting on it to final table. |

| Yeah, I have the first 2 Harrington books as well and seem to do best on the $3 KO tourneys as well except every time I get all in with the best hand and am an 85% or more favorite I lose |

| I highly recommend the three Harrington books as a starting point. Mine are full of notes and scribbles about my former weak points and leaks. They've easily paid for themselves many times over with winnings. I recommend that you commit them to memory as best you can and use them as a foundation to fall back on when your fancier plays aren't working (and they don't against unsophisticated players). |
