It's (amount currently in the pot)+2*(amount to call), which amounts to 2.8+2*0.85=4.5 in this case. Thats actually how much we add to the pot though, so pot would be making it $4.75 in this hand since we've already put in our BB.

AKA - $5? Very Happy

The only time I'd suggest flat-calling preflop is when you're against an extremely tight/passive player who raises early. Then you're basically set-mining, and folding the flop if they bet. Against any other type of player, you definitely need to reraise preflop.

Since you didn't raise preflop, you now have no idea where you stand on the flop. You didn't raise on the flop, checked, saw a bet and a raise. Calling is probably your worst option, since one of the players is likely on a flush draw and you'll definitely give him the odds he needs, and any A K or Q will definitely be scare cards for you. This is definitely a push or fold situation.

It's already been beaten to death, but I re-raise pre flop here as well. My style is to bump it to $4.40 here, but something between that and $5.10 is good imo.

As played, I actually fold the flop. You've invested just over 5 BB's into the pot and at this level you're going to have much better spots to put your money in. Being results oriented, you got lucky and it appears no one has a very strong hand after it checked around on the turn, but the majority of the time you just aren't going to be able to withstand pressure on any turn card so you've just thrown $7 away.

So, given your flop check and action that follows it, this is a relatively easy muck imo, as played at least...
