Well, it is looking to me like they probably have a lot of low cards, and are trying to get in with the low, and possibly a straight and flush draws. I think you couldn't have hoped for a better flop to come... On the high end you definitely got in with the best of it here, but as for playing too agressive? Definitely. I would have slowed down a little bit on the huge reraise there, and re-evaluate just how good your hand is, with all the outs he might have, you have to play a hand that can draw the best, not just one that is the best at that moment.
He could have many straight draws, if the board pairs, you might be looking at a full house.
I can't really criticize how you played it, since I would have done the same thing, I think unless you have solid reads, either play would have been fine. |

I do see that. But I'm saying a set can still outdraw your flush, and if you hit the flush with a paired board, it would be very hard to get away from. Since you don't have a chance to scoop the pot, I don't particularly like to bet that much when I can only get half the pot.
Then again, I only play Limit O8, so I might not be the best for advice on PLO8 |

It seems marginal at best TBH, if that 8 in your hand was a 5 or 3, I'd be slightly more inclined to jam here. I don't like the low prospect at all and top/bottom 2 pr. concerns me. The range that you're ahead of is small, but behind is large. Your equity is pretty low imo. Made lows, any set, A6, 35, 25 all have you in a strangle hold and all part of his rasing range. Only hands you can really hope to see are weak aces(like some Omaha hi hands A810J, Aq10K, etc.) or some retarded 44, 66 no LD type hands(though least likely of all).
I'm floating this flop, re-evaluate turn against unknowns and specifc knowns. Fold vs quality villians. |

100% spot on Z-
I was lucky to split the pot taking low. I ran into a set of Aces, and didn't improve to a flush.
Phishy is a quality opponent. I got blinded by my hand and misplayed it completely. |

I'm a nit in O8, but fwiw I fold this preflop.
As played, I would fold this to the reraise since you have to assume you are not going to get the low and your high is not that strong. |

As stated this is a very marginal all in situation. You are getting all your money in for what is likely a split pot at best. In a two way pot you wanna get your money if you have a chance at low and the high so as to quarter or even scoop. This would be a good gambling hand if it was a 3+ way pot.
Example: if you had 23 or 35 or something like that, then going all in heads up would not be a bad thing because you can make the nuts and scoop entire pot. |
