I played about 20 sitngos 800 hands and never was dealt AA. I had KK one time. Never had QQ. AKs one time. JJ, 1010, 99 twice.

One sitngo today played 50 hands, never had a pocket pair(not even 22) and A7os was my best hand and only Ax! Not one suited connector either!!!

This is some BS!!! I can't believe how chitty my cards are! I better have some turn around soon or I'm going to start killing people!!! AAAHHHHHHHH

Lawl. The cards are random. Sometimes you get dealt nothing but pocket cards and suited connectors and other times you get dealt K 2 and Q 3 all day. Please don't kill me.

Two summers ago I would go to this casino about 27 miles away and I'd play in this cash game with my friend 3 nights a week (6 hours on thursday, 10 on friday and saturday). That's 26 hours a weekend, and at about 25 hands an hour, that's 650 hands a weekend.

Anyway, I literally went about a month without seeing pocket aces once. When I finally got em and won with em, I had to stand up and yell to my friend and show him, because he knew I hadn't gotten them in what seemed like forever.

So give or take several hundred, it was at least 2000 hands I went without seeing AA. It happens. Pretty ridiculous sometimes though.

Poker can be brutal...

Remember, the cards don't always come, but position always does.

It will balance out. After not seeing AA or KK for 2 days, I was dealt the following in an 18 man yesterday:

2xAA, 2xKK, 1xJJ, 2xTT, 1x99, 2xAK.

I also lucked out and beat a TT with 55 when he pushed and I was the big stack.

Suffice it to say I took 1st.

That's kind of a silly way to do it IMO; assuming that someone gets (un)lucky all the time just because it happened once before may get you into trouble. It makes more sense to take notes on their actual betting patterns with certain hands. ie "always 3 bets with AA"

Everyone so far has hit the nail on the head. All part of the randomness of the deal. I just wanted to throw some math into it to show that what's happened really isn't so far fetched.

Probability of being dealt AA: (4/52)*(3/51) = 1/221. I.e., expect AA once every 221 hands on average. Of course, you might get them 2 times out of 50, or none out of 800. Neither being that far fetched.

Wayniac, 0 out of 2000 is getting borderline unlikely.
Specifically, probability of getting AA 0 out of 2000 times =
(220/221)^2000= .0115% or about 1/8700

Similarly, getting AA 0 out of 800 deals occurs 2.66% of the
time or 1/37.

Probability of being dealt a pair: (52/52)*(3/51) = 1/17. So expect a PP once every 17 hands on average. 0 out of 50 is not unbelievable.

Specifically, P(0 pairs on 50 deals) = (16/17)^50 = 4.83% or 1/21

Hope this was either enlightening or entertaining. At least it was for me.

So I'm in the top 3% for the worst hands possible over this stretch.

Yep, someone has to be a part of that bottom three percent. Just like how someone has to lose.

You are forgetting about the times you sat out a hand or two to hit the bathroom or grab a soda. That's where the aces were Smile
