I don't get it.
You flopped a straight and bet big enough to make most people fold. RAWilson needed runner runner hearts to make his flush.
Does anyone know if Aaron Kanter plays on Full Tilt?
I don't think you played the hand badly though. You limped w/A4o, flopped a 5 high straight, and just got really unlucky. |

Hey, it happens. That's poker. He won't always get the runner runner, and you take down a big pot for his stupidity.
*takes notes on RAWilson* |

| Jaconda, I didn't want to post a bad beat story. I'm trying to make a point that if you want to play quality poker, you should go to the higer limits.. |

But what you posted IS a bad beat story - that's the main part of this thread. |

You didn't play the hand badly. While I might have not played that hand in early position, your raise on the flop was correct. However, raising 1000 more I think raised suspicion in the other player thinking you might be stealing for some reason. A raise to 200 ish might have been more appropriate.
Only problem is he probably calls you on the turn and there's probably no way on this earth he folds on the turn with 2 pair and a straight flush draw open-ended.
All-in all, well done, just unlucky. |
