The 2004 BARGE trip report on the Tiltboys website says that Lenny Augustine won.
I've been concentrating on poker, but if I do well, I may consider devoting some time to training and also conquering the Roshambo world at BARGE 2006. |

I would venture that limit can be more forgiving for amateurs, as a single bad decision or bad beat won't decimate your stack (in general) the way it can in no limit. Often in limit, it takes a series of bad decisions, bad moves, or a long uniterrupted stream of suboptimal play to grind away the riff-raff.
I put in my vote for deuce-to-seven triple draw, those fields are always just crammed with pros. Not that all of them play deuce-to-seven well, but all things being equal I would rather face off against Joe and Jenny Six Pack from Sioux City than Doyle and Todd Brunson, or Barry and Jeff Shulman. |

| I think the HILO games have the the toughest field. The $2000 stud HILO game this year had 279 entries. Although that was a large field for the particular game, it was a small field relative to the other events. Of the 279, the number of pros and amateur specialsts as a percentage of the field was enormous. (little dead money). We played until 3AM and still had not made the money. The second day also lasted many hours. All this with only 279 entries......soft field...I think not ! |
