Let's hear it for consistency. I got 13 freerolls and managed to bat better than 400 with 21 zeros up to the main event. Feihua, I think you talked about a prop bet on the number of zeros, I wish I would have made it.

Now it's on to the main event. I went with a middle of the road strategy. I took a lot of sleepers in B & C, but had some big names that I think can go a long way on my A team and with a couple of B picks.

A Team
Andy Bloch
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Ivey
Erick Lindgrin
Daniel Negreanu

B Team
John Juanda
Mike Matusow
David Pham
John Phan
JC Tran

C Team
Chad Brown
Nam Le
Kathy Leibert
Mark Seif
Minh Ly

Feihua, I almost went with a couple of your sleepers (Schleger and Can Kim Hua). But, I had them in some of the small $ hold'em events over the past week and they haven't done well for me, so I switched them out. Still, either one could pull off a big cash.

Aside from my favorite player, Matusow, I went with pretty much all internet guys

A Player Chad "lilholdem954" Batista
A Player Jon "PearlJammed" Turner
A Player Maciek "Michael" Gracz
A Player Mike Matusow
A Player Stuart Paterson

B Player Dustin "Neverwin" Woolf
B Player Greg "DuckU" Hobson
B Player Jimmy "Gobboboy" Fricke
B Player Jordan "iMsoLucky0" Morgan
B Player Eric "Rizen" Lynch

C Player Aaron "GambleAB" Bartley
C Player Joe Sebok
C Player Joanne "JJ" Liu
C Player Brett "Gank" Jungblut
C Player Steve "mrsmokey1" Billirakis

A and B were fairly easy, but when I got to C, I was kinda sick of thinking about it and just started picking whoever's name stuck out as I scrolled.

Brandon Adams, Schleger and Dirksin are who I would've liked to add had I thought about it more.

None of my picks actually played in day 1a and I'm not sure if this is a good sign or not. On the one hand some people that were on my short-list are already out (Benyamine, The Dragon, Harrington, Brown, Smith and Johnston), while on the other hand some players I kicked out last-minute do quite well (Schulman and especially Adams). Well, we'll see... at least I still got 15 players left Laughing

Yeah, I think Adams is going to go deep. Especially cause I didn't pick him either Smile

Yeah, I made a mistake bumping Lawson in favor of Perry.

Ted started as a B along with Perry and then got shoved to a B.

But with the specialty games becoming more of an interest to the community, it was still a flip regarding those guys, so I shoved 'em into C and shrugged.

Perry is out. As are a LOT of big names.

Baxter is in in and his game looks cautious.

Nick Schulman is doing okay for me, but I have my doubts according to some plays he may. He is either going to be deep on Day 2 or he is going to be out.

Those were the only three names I picked up on regarding my team.

One C down, two As into Day 2. 12 names to spot.

Day 1b is over and finally some of my picks showed up. 4 of my players started the day and only one survived. Brenes (A), K. Tran (B) and Peter 'Nordberg' Feldman (C) were busted, while Liebert (B) made it through the day with roughly 31k in chips. Not a good day for me as Lindgren, who I considered picking for quite a long time, continues his run with ca. 90k in chips. Well, 11 of my players still have to play their first day so there's still some hope...

I've had a lot of no-shows so far and 3 bust outs Negreanu in A, David Pham in B and Chad Brown in C. Erick Lindgren is doing well and Kathy Leibert survived day 1B. Other than that I've got 10 blanks.

I did make a good last minute change though because I thought for a long time about Kenny Tran but decided against him and since he busted yesterday, I'm happy with the change.

Also, played in a $1 rebuy tourney with Scott Fischman yesterday night -- he wasn't talking but then I saw he busted on Day 1B, so I understand. To prove he was off his game or tilting from the main event, I cashed and he busted right before the bubble.

Not a great first 2 days for me. I still have 8 to play, but I'm already down 2 A's (Benyamine and Forrest) and 2 B's (Brenes and Brown). Of my 3 who survived day 1, I do have Lindgren as an A. I also have Greenstein (A) and Fricke (C) who are just below 25k in chips. I'm hoping the next 2 days go as well, as some of my low consenus picks start (Singer-A, Ly-B). Good luck to all this weekend.

Two of my players did well on Day 1c and so I went ahead and updated the totals. (A whole bunch of this process is automated now.):

W. Chips Player Runners
940,155 brezinhill2009 7
902,575 caracara 11
721,075 feihua 12
677,525 david petina 9
635,925 nitrosawxcide 8
574,700 gonefshng 11
552,775 fonzy4 9
490,000 dcdoorknob 8
338,675 jd_x 9

The weighted chips include the 20,000 starting stacks for players who presumably will play on Day 1d. Note that feihua has 8 players slated for Day 1d while I have only 2. Also note that brezenhill2009 has lost the most players this far, but his 4 survivors thus far all have monster stacks. These four are:

Brandon Adams 176,450
Robert Mizrachi 131,000
Erick Lindgren 92,325
Jeff Madsen 85,000

I have the two other large stacks (David Singer with 128,000 and Nenad Medic with 91,000.) Other selected players who have average or better stacks include Thor Hansen, N. Schulman, Eric Seidel, Patrik Antonius, Billy Baxter, Chris Bjorn, Mike Matusow, S. Sheikhan, William Chen, Kathy Liebert and Greg Mueller.

Day 1c was an important day for me... but unfortuantely not a good one Crying or Very sad . While I started with 7 players into the day, only 2 survived. 3 of my A picks made early exits as Seed, Alaei and JC Tran were busted quickly. Minh Ly (B) and David Chiu (C) followed them to the rail. The only positive surprise is David Singer (B), who is among the chip leaders. My last A pick Jared 'TheWacoKidd' Hamby is (hopefully) also still in, as there are different sources about him. One says he's already eliminated, while another still lists him with around 17k chips (not a lot though).

My last 4 picks hopefully pick up the action today and manage to survive somehow. Dag Martin Mikkelsen, my last B pick, and Scharf, J.Phan and Holland (all C's) are my last hope.

I'm already down to 6 players. 2 of my A's (Lindgren and Singer) look to be in a good position, while Greenstein (other A) needs to chip up quickly in Day 2. My B's are all out, and Fricke is my only C survivor so far. I have John Phan and Michael Mizrachi today, so I hope they survive and get some chips.
