So twice now in the last week I got drunk and played and did pretty good. Then the other night I got really drunk, blacked out, and half my roll was gone. Then I played drunk again and my money is moving up again. What Is your thoughts, drunk or no??

I think it's fine as long as you play above your normal limits.

Haha, that was great.

To OP, I think playing drunk is fine. I have a lot of fun playing poker while drunk. If you have tilt issues (like myself) I'd be very careful though. Many a night I've found my drunk self talking me into playing obscene limits.

Drunken heaters can be nice though, heh.

haha... in computer programming circles, we refer to that as the ballmer peak. check it out: http://xkcd.com/323/ (just an online comic, safe to click)

alcohol mixes with many things well, albeit briefly.

In the poker, sucking my azz off circles, I call that having no freinds whatsoever on full tilt. I apreciate the hillarias, humor, making fun of me, and if I could cost you money I would. O well I was drunk and movin up, next time I know not to ask anything here unless i'm sober. That is knowledge I never wanted to find out waisted, but hey , I shouldn't have asked while I was drunk I guess. Never mad don't worry. Good luck to you...............................

According to Dolly, drinking & poker don't mix.
I guess if you don't take his advice, then you are on your own.

Loved the Ballmer Peak reference! Although an even funnier puchline could have been Microsoft "Bob".

Drinking and playing in person creates much more fun for me. I take a few more risks and enjoy the evening more win or lose.

I normally don't drink while I'm playing for money, unless it's a home game. But when I start tilting really bad, drunken freerolls are the shit.

I like to drink, and I like poker. Having poker just a mouse click away, (as pssed to a possible DUI getting to a casino) makes the impulse to play drunk occasionally one I can't resist. Good poker IS a game of frequent close decisons, which become much harder to make when juiced, so when I mix booze and poker I limit myself to a low priced tournament. That way I never have to wonder the next day how I pissed off my BR, and might even discover I had a nice cash.
