So tonight I played:

$109 LHE
$75 LHE
$5.5 NLHE

And I can honestly say the average skill was highest in the $5.50 MBJ. And its the only one I walked away from in profit.

I couldnt agree more with this statement, thats why i love these MBJ Season games. The level of poker is so high. I had to play some top notch poker last night, and felt i played quite solid. There was some high level of competition last night. It seemed as if everyone played some damned good poker too.

And to fire_eyes, whether you knew it or not, you were giving me the most troubles last night. It seemed everytime i made a play at you, whether i had hit a hand or not, you came over the top...i had to make some difficult decisions. I finally knew the only way i was going to beat you last night was by getting a big hand, and out of nowhere i flopped quad's. As for the hand you hit a set of Q's with and pushed all-in with no sidepot action and one player already all-in, it was the correct play...no matter what i said in chat. I just didnt think you hit that flop as hard as you did...i see so many players push all-in with draws when a 3rd player is all-in and usually what happens is i'll fold and the all-in player will survive.

GG to all, cant wait for next weeks action.

I know we just finished week 4, but week 3 winners have still yet to be paid.

No biggie, just don't want to forget.

Thanks,

TY, I had figured you were a bit passive when we were shorthanded so I took a few gambles, I guess one too many against your fives. I'm actually taking this season seriously as next week will be the last that I can actually play as I'm starting a new job that requires me to get up @ 6am on a monday morning, and MBJ starts at 2am, so the lack of sleep might be a problem. A third win next week and I might actually have a chance of making the top nine when the season is over.

I've only been able to play 2 MBJ tournies so far and I've been very impressed with your play fire_eyes. Lucky for us, you might not be able to make future events, because you've started to run away with the lead! Not sure I'll be able to defend my title Smile But I hope you can still make it out in the future because I love having players of high calibre at the table, makes for great poker!

Thanks again Rick for the surpise 5th place award. Great game this week all, my cards actually held, was able to pull of a few bluffs, but my 55 couldn't hold up against all mighty AJ.

thanks,

Indeed... a pleasant and unexpected surprise by Rick tonight.

gg skeet... I thought you were going to take it down after you got the chip lead. I went from being very relaxed and confident to being frustrated within a short period of time.

Anybody been paid for week 5 yet? I'm not complaining; I know Rick is busy.

Pete, Skeeter Canlis, Supfool ... it was great playing with you. I didn't think I was going to make it that deep and it was a really good game with you guys.
